The Pregnancy Help Center has an annual fund raiser called the “Baby Bottle Brigade!” They furnish baby bottles with flyers to churches and ask that you fill them with change, bills or a check. They are handed out on Mother’s Day and are to be returned to the church on Father’s Day.
The focus the last couple of years for this fundraiser was on raising enough money to purchase an ultrasound machine. They reached their goal and were able to buy one last fall! This year’s focus is to keep the funds coming in to keep their programs going.
All three locations offer prenatal classes as well as cooking, birthing and parenting classes. The women are provided with baby and maternity items. The women at the Haven of Hope Home earn “baby bucks” that can be used towards purchasing maternity clothes, etc. They have individualized plans and also offer one time emergency care.
The Ladies Quilting Group of First Baptist Church of Stover donate quilts periodically to the Pregnancy Help Center for the new mothers. They are very much appreciated.
